NEWS ~ June 1, 2022

What a great start we had to our summer season!  Friday’s Prime Rib dinner sold out.  We had the most delicious prime rib, grilled shrimp and SALAD BAR!  Our parking lot was nearly full on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. The weather was beautiful and the fellowship incredible.  This was the busiest weekend we have had in a couple of years and it was wonderful to see our friends again!

HOURS:  For the summer season, our office will be open from 9:00-6:00 every day, Monday through Sunday. Feel free to stop by to purchase merchandise, settle accounts, buy boat stickers, pay for your lockers, pick up your wristband, or pick up a guest parking sticker/wristband.  When the parking lot attendant is on duty, you may purchase your guest parking pass and pick up a guest wristband there.  Guest parking passes are $10 per day and can be purchased 7 days a week except for the days listed in the opening letter.

Snack Bar hours are Tuesday through Sunday, 11:00-3:00.  When you order online, the default is to charge your account beginning with your dining room minimum. Once your dining room minimum is exhausted, your orders will be charged to your account.  Be sure to go into your online statements at the end of each month and pay for any meals/merchandise charged.  If you do not want your snack bar order charged to your dining room minimum, please do not order online.  Call the office with your order and advise them how you would like to pay.  When you order downstairs at the snackbar window, you can pay cash, use a credit/debit card, or charge to your account.

DINING ROOM:  Breakfast is now being served at 8:30.  The Breakfast Buffet is delicious, so be sure to call to reserve your meal and come down early to enjoy a full day at the beach.Dinner is served at 6:30 on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.

PARTY ON THE PORCH:  Saturday, June 25 at 6:00pm. We will have Mommiez Food Truck and music provided by DJ Lee Pearson.  BYOB – we will have set-ups available.

RULES:  Be sure to read the Club rules found on the Quick Links page of the website and share them with your children.  A couple of other items to be aware of:

  1. Surfboards should not be placed on picnic tables.  Clothing and shoes should not be left scattered on porches.  Anything left lying around will be disposed of.
  2. No chairs, toys, or surfboards should be left on the porches or in the snack bar areas.  The chair racks located on the north side of the first floor are for those renting rooms only.
  3. Wristbands should be worn at all times.  The bands have done a remarkable job of reducing nonmembers from using our facililty.  They make it so much easier for our staff to identify members.  If you have not picked yours up, stop by the Club office.  Guest bands are available either at the parking attendants station or the front desk.
  4. Car stickers much be permanently applied to the passenger’s side of the windshield.  If you were not able to pick up your opening letter, it is in the mail and you should receive it in a couple of days.  Stickers are included.
  5. Wrightsville Beach no longer has the large blue trash barrels on the beach.  They sited beach erosion and inability to find employees as their reason for removing the barrels.  PLEASE DO NOT LITTER!  Do your part to “PACK IT IN AND PACK IT OUT” to keep our beach clean.

SUGGESTION BOX:  We are placing a box on the wall to the right, just inside the 2nd door main entrance.  There will also be paper and pens so you can leave Suggestions, Complements, and Concerns.  Tell us what you like and what you don’t so that we can improve the Hanover Seaside Club experience.  The box will be checked by the chair of the Operations Committee.  You can sign your name, or leave your comment anonymously.  We care what you think!

NEWS ~ MAY 16, 2022

CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT SUMMER IS ALMOST HERE? WE ARE GETTING READY FOR YOU!

SNACK BAR:  The Snack Bar will be open this weekend, May 21 and 22 so be sure to come down for some lunch. The menu will remain the same with all of your favorites. Prices are a little higher due to the increase in cost of food and labor. But, we think it’s still the best deal around. Be sure to use online ordering to get your order fast and hot. Or, you can call your order in to the office phone at 910-256-2726. The Snack Bar will be closed during the week, but will reopen on Saturday, May 28 for the Memorial Day weekend.

PARTY ON THE PORCH:  You have already received your flyer for the Party on the Porch on Saturday, May 28 from 6-9pm. We are doing things a little differently this year. Bring your own bottle and give it to the bartender. The bartender will have cups, mixers, and everything you need for him to mix your drink. During the evening just go to the bar, give him your name, and order your drink. Don’t forget to pick up your bottle at the end of the evening. We can not store your liquor. Call the Club office to make your reservation to attend this party. Bring an appetizer to share!  Bub White will be providing music.

We will be asking sponsors to pay $200 to pay for the party. This keeps the parties free and doesn’t impact our budget. If you or your company would like to sponsor a party, please contact Cher Pridgen.

Thanks to East Coast Autos and Trailers (Dan and Angie Harris) for sponsoring our first party.

WRISTBANDS:  We will be requiring members to wear wristbands again this year.  They really helped us identify who should be on our property last year. The color is different this year, so you must pick your wrist band up at the Club office.  You must beging wearing them on Saturday, May 28.  One person can pick them up for your entire family.  Be sure to stop in the office and pick up guest bands for all guests.  For those of you who are engaged, you must get guest bands for your fiancee each time they accompany you to the Club.  Only members are allowed to wear member bands.
