NEWS – JUNE 8, 2023

OFFICE HOURS: Summer hours will begin Friday, May 26. The office will be open daily 9 am – 6 pm

SNACK BAR: Open 11:30-1:30 Friday, June 8 and 11:00-3:00 Saturday, June 10 when the full summer snack bar schedule will begin.  Hours will be reduced on weekdays this season. We will now be open Tuesday – Friday 11-2. Saturday / Sunday hours will be 11 – 3:00. As always, we will be closed on Mondays. The snack bar menu is changing. A few items were changed/discontinued in an effort to reduce costs. We are doing our best to keep snack bar rates reasonable, however, food costs continue to rise. The menu and pricing will be available at the snack bar and online. Like last year, you may order at the snack bar window, by calling in your order, or by using the online ordering system at www.hanoverseaside.club.

REMINDER ABOUT GUESTS: Please remember to sign in your guests, get a guest wristband, and purchase guest parking passes. Every car in the lot must have a member sticker or guest pass or it will be towed.

UPCOMING SOCIAL EVENTS & MEALS:  Reservations are required for all meals. Make your reservation by calling the Club at 910.256.2726. Reservations for meals on Sunday should be made prior to 2:00 PM on Thursday, and weekdays by 1:00 PM the day prior to date of reservation, unless otherwise acceptable by the Club Manager. Members are responsible for payment of all meals reserved and for all no-shows. Cancellations must be 24 hours prior to the meal or payment will be required. Menus will be posted on the blog. Prices below, but are subject to change by the board due to rising food costs. Notification of price changes will be sent via email and posted on the blog.

Breakfast Buffet 8:30 am – Every morning except Sunday which is a continental breakfast. Adults $9, Children 6-12 $6, Toddler $3 (7% tax will be added to all meals).

Sunday June 11th 12:30 – Fried Chicken or Meatloaf, Baked Beans with Sausage and Bacon, Mashed Potatoes, Collards, Salad Bar, Rolls, Dessert. Adults $18, Children 6-12 $8.50, Toddler $3.50 (7% tax will be added to all meals).

Monday, June 12th 6:30  – Boneless Fried Chicken Breast with Cheese and Bacon or Pot Roast, Okra, Cabbage, Mac and Cheese, Salad Bar, Rolls, Dessert. Adults $16, Children 6-12 $8.50, Toddler $3.50 (7% tax will be added to all meals).

Tuesday, June 13th 6:30  – Fried Flounder or Fried Shrimp, Corn n the Cob, Slaw, Baked Potato, Salad Bar, Rolls, Dessert. Adults $16, Children 6-12 $8.50, Toddler $3.50 (7% tax will be added to all meals).

Thursday, June 15th 6:30  – Chicken Parmesan or Lasagna, Spaghetti Marinara, Zucchini and Squash, White Bean Salad, Roasted Potatoes, Salad Bar, Rolls, Dessert. Adults $16, Children 6-12 $8.50, Toddler $3.50 (7% tax will be added to all meals).

Friday, June 16th 6:30 – Prime Rib and Grilled Shrimp, Rice Pilaf, Broccoli, Green Beans with Bacon, Salad Bar, Rolls, Dessert.Adults $18, Children 6-12 $8.50, Toddler $3.50 (7% tax will be added to all meals).

Sunday June 18th 12:30 Father’s Day – Reservations required by noon on June 15th. Fried Chicken or BBQ Ribs, Mac and Cheese, Green Beans, Baked Beans with Bacon, Coleslaw, Rolls, Salad Bar, Key Lime Pie. Adults $18, Children 6-12 $8.50, Toddler $3.50 (7% tax will be added to all meals).

Monday, June 19th 6:30  – Meatloaf or BBQ Pork, Broccoli, Squash Casserole, Mashed Potatoes, Salad Bar, Rolls, Dessert. Adults $16, Children 6-12 $8.50, Toddler $3.50 (7% tax will be added to all meals).

Tuesday, June 20th 6:30  – Beef or Chicken Tacos or Taco Bowl, Chicken Enchiladas, Dessert. Adults $16, Children 6-12 $8.50, Toddler $3.50 (7% tax will be added to all meals).

Thursday, June 22nd 6:30  – Country Style Pork Chops with Gravy or Baked Ziti, Rice, Green Beans, Brown Sugar Glazed Carrots, Salad Bar, Rolls, Dessert. Adults $16, Children 6-12 $8.50, Toddler $3.50 (7% tax will be added to all meals).

Friday, June 23rd 6:30 – Fried Flounder or Fried Shrimp, Corn on the Cob, Collards, Butter Beans, Salad Bar, Rolls, Dessert. Adults $18, Children 6-12 $8.50, Toddler $3.50 (7% tax will be added to all meals).

Kid’s Day – June 24th: Join us from 4:00 to 7:00 pm for our annual Kid’s Day at the Club. $6 per child includes one Hot Dog ($10 pp if you’d like two dogs), Chips, Cookie and a juice box or water. Additional waters for sale for $1.00. Bounce House Obstacle course for the kids. Dinner will be served from 5:00-6:30. Please call the office to secure your reservations by June 22.

Bingo – Wednesday, June 28th 7:00 -9:00 pm– Adults are $3/3 cards and kids are $1/card. Please bring a prize if you’re able (food, candy, watermelon, gift certificates etc). Called by Andy & Robby Collins.

FROM THE SOCIAL COMMITTEE:

The opening party for the 125th birthday of the HSC season was a huge success with about 150 people rekindling friendships and enjoying delicious food! The raffle basket winners were LuAnn Bartolo and Jason Padgett. Thank you for your support!

We’re looking for volunteers, young and old, for the July 4th celebration! Many hands make light work, so please consider helping hand out ribbons at the beach races, help at the fishing “pond” or cupcake walk., setting up or taking down. Contact Cher Pridgen at cpridgen654@gmail.com to volunteer or ask questions.

Room Rentals: When staying on the third floor, please remember to bring your pillows. No linens or pillows are provided.

There are still a few rooms available this summer. Call the office for availability. If rooms remain available one month prior to a request for a partial week, the room will be rented for a shorter period of time. Minimum stay is 2 nights.

Help us keep our facility neat and clean!

No beach chairs, toys, boogies boards, etc. can be left on porches or under stairwells Chair racks are for use by those renting rooms on the 3rd floor ONLY

Surfboards, clothing, and personal belongings should not be placed on picnic tables

Trash should be placed in designated containers

Tables in the snack bar area should be wiped clean after use

Any belongings left where they do not belong will be removed.
