NEWS ~ JULY 1, 2022

4TH OF JULY UPDATES:

1.  Parking stickers – Only GREEN stickers will be allowed in the parking lot prior to 4:00 pm.  Guest parking passes are not allowed before 4:00, either.
2. Weather – The weather forcast is for scattered showers.  May times when we have that forecast, it might be cloudy/rainy in town, but beautiful at the beach.  If we do have rain, we will have whatever activities we can. We’ll just have to play it by ear.
3. Lunch – The deadline has passed for ordering lunch.  Regardless of weather, lunch will be served.  If you made reservations, you will be responsible for paying for them.  There will be space to eat inside, under the tents outside, or in the dining room.  You can come grab a take-out if you prefer.
4. Since we cannot have games on the beach due to high tides and little space, we will have games for the children in the sand lot (volleyball court) in front of the Club at 11:00.
5. There will be a table on the first floor so that you can buy beautiful HSC merchandise without having to put on dry clothes to go upstairs.  All sales will be charged to your account.

Monday, July 11 ~ Fried chicken or pot roast, collards, mashed potatoes, bacon and sausage baked beans, rolls, salad bar, dessert

Tuesday, July 12 ~ Beef or chicken tacos/taco blows, enchilada soup, dessert

Thursday, July 14 ~ Citrus marinated chicken or blackened flounder, broccoli, roasted potatoes, asparagus, rolls, salad bar, dessert

New Windsock 

Thanks to Eddie Lawler, Mike and Cher Pridgen, and Bo Wessell for the new pipe and windsock at our soundside property!

New Gate

If you haven’t been the Club in the past couple of weeks, you may not have seen the new gate at the front of the property.  It matches the beautiful fencing.  The gate swings freely in both directions, so it’s easy to get through even when holding beach chairs, beach bags, or babies!  We appreciate all the Facilities Committee and Board have done to keep our Club in good repair and looking beautiful.

FEEDBACK:

We are interested in feedback from the membership. Quite a few members have placed suggestions, complements, and concerns in the Suggestion box inside the 2nd floor door.  However, there are quite a few members who rarely venture upstairs.  We have a new e-mail address that you can use to send  your comments. BINGO:

Come to the Club on Wednesday, July 6 at 7:00 for Bingo hosted by the infamous Steve Lee.  This Bingo often fills up, so come early to grab your seat.  Also, be sure to bring a prize to share.

PARTY ON THE PORCH:

The Party on the Porch held Saturday night was great fun.  We had a good crowd, great weather, delicious food, and wonderful music.  What more could you want?
